Extension of Time for Support of Conversion of Foreign Currency from Abroad into Turkish Lira
The period related to the foreign currency conversion support of 3%, which is applied to the conversion of foreign sourced foreign currencies into Turkish Lira, has been extended by the ’Communiqué on Amendment to the Communiqué (No: 2023/5) on the Support for the Conversion of Foreign Sourced Foreign Currencies of Companies into Turkish Lira (No: 2026/8)“, published in the Official Gazette dated May 1, 2026, and numbered 33240. Until 07/31/2026 extended.
With the communique numbered 2025/18, published in the Official Gazette dated 26.01.2023 and numbered 32085; foreign currency of firms sold to the Central Bank through banks, and with the commitment not to purchase foreign currency for a period determined by the Central Bank, foreign currency conversion support has been provided, and within the scope of provisional article 1 added by the communique numbered 2025/11, published in the Official Gazette dated 3.05.2025, the support rate has been determined as %3.
This time, with the published Communiqué No. 2026/8, the application period for the foreign currency conversion support, which is applied at a rate of%3 in temporary Article 1 31/07/2026 extended to its history.

| From the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey: COMPANIES' FOREIGN-SOURCED FOREIGN CURRENCIES INTO TURKISH LIRA NOTICE ON SUPPORTING THE TRANSFORMATION (NO: 2023/5) Notice of Amendment (NUMBER: 2026/8) ARTICLE 1- The phrase ’30/4/2026“ in the first paragraph of Article 1 of the Communiqué on Supporting the Conversion of Foreign Currency from Foreign Sources of Companies into Turkish Lira (Communiqué No: 2023/5), published in the Official Gazette dated 26/1/2023 and numbered 32085, has been changed to ”31/7/2026“. ARTICLE 2- This Communiqué shall enter into force on the date of its publication. ARTICLE 3- The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey shall execute the provisions of this Communiqué. | ||
