Motor Vehicle Tax Amounts to be Applied in 2026
The motor vehicle tax (MTV) tariffs to be applied from January 1, 2026, have been determined by the General Communiqué on Motor Vehicle Tax No. 58, published in the Official Gazette dated December 31, 2025, numbered 33124 (Repeated Fifth).
The motor vehicle tax tariff to be applied in 2026, determined according to this, is given below.
A. (I) Motor Vehicle Tax Tariff
Cars, SUVs, off-road vehicles, and similar vehicles registered after January 1, 2018 (inclusive of this date), and motorcycles, shall be taxed according to Tariff I below.
B. (II) Motor Vehicle Tax Tariff
Motorized land vehicles, other than automobiles, off-road vehicles, coupe-convertibles and similar vehicles, and motorcycles, listed in tariffs (I) and (I/A) are taxed according to tariff (II) below.
C. (IV) Motor Vehicle Tax Tariff
Aircraft and helicopters (excluding those belonging to Türkkuşu, the Turkish Aeronautical Association) are taxed according to Tariff No. (IV) below.
D. (I/A) Motor Vehicle Tax Tariff
Automobiles, coupe-claws, off-road vehicles, and similar vehicles registered and licensed before December 31, 2017 (inclusive of this date) are taxed according to Tariff (I/A) specified in Provisional Article 8 of Law No. 197.
